Victoria Baths Series

Created in response to the surfaces, textures and rich colours of the iconic Victoria Baths in Manchester, these assemblages began as tiles influenced by spaces in the baths. Increasingly they came to respond to notions of restoration and the materials of construction.

Gala, a collective exhibition with Dez-Rez Artists projects launched by Nancy Collantine, was adapted and taken online when the original Springfest at Victoria Baths was cancelled owing to COVID 19. The Gala catalogue details that transformation from physical exhibition to virtual, the challenges and opportunities this presented.
